My client based in Aberdeen is looking to recruit a Project Co - coordinator To support their busy and rapidly expanding project operations department.
Although this position will be based in Aberdeen, there will be a requirement for the successful candidate to participate in adhoc short term assignments on a global basis when required. This is not on a rotational basis - any such short term assignments will attract an overseas allowances.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the principle role of this position is to provide comprehensive logistics support to both already existing regional and global clients. Such support will involve working closely with internal company divisions, preparing and monitoring budgetary costs, logistics planning relating to all aspects of each individual projects, including freight forwarding and receipt, freight handling, customs clearances, vessel chartering for client operations, vessel clearance requirements and disbursement accounts in connection with the mobilisation/demobilisation port calls and the provision and management of other port services and party cub-contractors.
In addition, the successful candidate will be required to establish contacts within local port authorities, organisations, and service providers in order to ensure that project operations, including subcontractor activities are executed safely and efficiently.

Technical Skills:
Experience of Oil & Gas project logistics
Experience of Project Freight Forwarding / Vessel Agency preferable
Active and responsive in support to client requirements
Must be able to set strategies and plans for operations supports
Ideally have experience of vessel management and, crew change and general project logistics.
Qualifications and Education:
Banksman/Slinging and forklift operations also desirable, however training will be provided to the right candidate if required.
Specific Job Related Requirements:
Willingness to travel globally and work during out-of-office hours as a client support is essential.
A full UK driving licence is essential. (minimum points accepted).
