All-Energy 2011
Search recently exhibited at All-Energy, the UK's largest
renewable energy event. Held at the Aberdeen International
Conference Centre, it was a huge success and received a record
number of visitors with nearly 8,000 people in attendance from 50
countries around the world.
Search exhibited as part of the hugely successful recruitment
and careers fair. As a highly regarded recruitment specialist
across 19 specialist divisions, we relished the opportunity to
promote our newly formed Search Energy division, which encompasses
the fields of oil, gas and renewable energy.
The division is comprised of consultants and managers who
possess a wealth of experience working with a wide range of skill
sets across the global marketplace. Their focus is to support
clients with the growth in the demand for talent within the
renewable energy sector that will undoubtedly grow from strength to
strength over the coming years.
Statistics suggest that our government targets for sustainable
sources of energy will command skilled
professionals - that don't necessarily exist in the UK
- to undertake a huge volume of nationwide projects. Sourcing
the most appropriate skill sets will require creativity and
persistence.
During the careers fair we liaised with a number of renewable
energy specialists. There were people who currently work in the
market as well as those looking to break into this exciting sector.
We had some valuable one-to-one time with potential candidates that
allowed us to discuss their career plans and job opportunities for
both now and in the future. We were delighted at the rich sources
of new talent in the marketplace, which included masters graduates
fresh out of education and seeking support in entering the
industry.
With more than 600 exhibitors attending the show, we were
keeping company with a vast number of respected international
leaders from within the renewable energy sector, whose innovation
and high-quality product lines made them stand out, as well
respected market leaders in their fields of expertise. We enjoyed
promoting Search Energy; explaining how we can add value to their
recruitment processes by working in partnership and sourcing
skilled professionals to support them in achieving their corporate
goals.
Search Energy is a growing and developing new business area for
Search and welcomes the opportunity to meet with new candidates and
clients, who are either looking to make their next career move or
needing some support in sourcing talent for their
