Search can help with Driver CPC

The Driver CPC date is looming (9^th September, 2014), and many drivers are asking us, "What is Driver CPC?" and, "What are Search offering to drivers to ensure that they are compliant in time?"

Driver CPC is a European qualification designed to maintain good driving standards and road-safety knowledge for all drivers. If you want to drive professionally in the UK, you must hold a Driver CPC. If you held your vocational licence prior to the dates shown below, then you will have until 9^th September, 2014, to acquire the 35 hours of periodic training:

D, D1, DE, D1E                        10^th September, 2008

C, C1, CE, C1E                        10^th September, 2009

Any new drivers will need to pass the initial Driver CPC qualification to gain their vocational licence. Training can be completed in seven-hour modules.

In order to prove that you have completed the 35 hours of periodic training, drivers will be issued with a Driver Qualification Card (DQC). This is issued automatically on successfully passing the initial qualification. Existing drivers will be issued with a DQC on completion of the 35^th hour of periodic training.
